Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is a programme to help university and college students studying in the European Higher Education Area to study in partner higher education institutions in other countries. Erasmus is one of the European Commission's most successful and best-known programmes. Launched in 1987, the Erasmus programme supports the development of higher education and international mobility within Europe. The original name of the programme is the European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students (ERASMUS). The sub-programme supports the development efforts of higher education institutions. It provides for students to move around Europe, to gain experience or to undertake a traineeship in a higher education institution in another Member State.
